Plain Language: Clear and Concise

Plain language is essential for communicating clearly — and the Plain Writing Act of 2010 requires all federal agencies to use plain language in public-facing communications. In this course we explore essential plain language principles. We also teach the writing and design techniques that support plain language goals across communication. Participants will engage in exercises and group discussions as well as writing workshops that foster hands-on learning. Attendees of this course will walk away from this course with tips they can apply immediately.
