Certificate in Applied Project Management

Boston University Metropolitan College

Apply your Project Management Training to a Masters Degree at Boston University Metropolitan College

The Certificate in Applied Project Management program (Evening or Saturday) is geared towards today's busy professional who can't afford to take time away from an already tight schedule. In a convenient evening format, it takes only 12 weeks to earn your Project Management certificate. This is done by successfully completing 24 scheduled 3-hour sessions that address key topic areas in project management, such as the project environment, planning, scheduling, and estimating. In addition to completing the regularly scheduled sessions, students are responsible for a team project and completing homework. You will then be able to apply these skills directly into your own projects in the workplace.

Real-world Projects

During the program, you will work in teams to plan a real-world project. Working in teams accelerates your learning and prepares you to deal with projects on the job. You will learn to identify problems currently faced in business and work to solve them.

Standards Based

The entire curriculum is based on the Project Management Institute‘s (PMI®) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). It will provide you with a solid foundation to prepare for taking the PMPĀ® (Project Management Professional) exam. Most importantly, our program meets the standards set forth by PMBOK® Guide.
